RAN

Ran was Ægir’s wife and Goddess of the sea. She had a large fishing net which she used to catch unfortunate seafarers. With her fishing net she pulled them against dangerous reefs and took them to her hall on the bottom of the sea. Ran rules over those who died at sea. In ancient times humans sacrificed to the Goddess of the sea to ensure the voyage.
